The Guardian Ad Litem Program represents the interests of children in custody matters. The Guardian Ad Litem is an attorney who is appointed as an officer of the Court to conduct an inquiry of the family with a focus on the best interests of the children. The Guardian Ad Litem performs duties which include, but are not limited to: consulting with professionals, interviewing the family and child(ren), visiting homes or schools, and generating written recommendations to the court in regard to the well being of the child.
